Canons competition

National Nitro Athletics

On Monday 9 December St Norbert College entered two teams in the National Nitro Athletics competition at the WA Athletics Stadium. With more 50 schools travelling to Perth from the eastern states, it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our talented athletes on a national scale.

With a lot of these athletes backing up from the Australian All Schools Championships the days prior, it was going to be a tough ask but our students did themselves proud.

Some outstanding results included Lubin Benedict running a PB and winning the 110m Hurdles and outgoing Sports Captain Cooper Jenkins winning the 60m Sprint after being crowned the 3rd fastest runner in Australia for 100m.

Our Senior Boys were just pipped at the end, finishing fourth in Australia, and our Intermediate Boys finished fifth. This was a huge effort considering St Norbert College has half of the student population compared to some of the other schools attending like Melbourne's Trinity Grammar and Caulfield Grammar.

Thank you to all the students who came back in their holidays to represent the College and also the parents who came down and showed amazing support.
