The library, a maze of shelves, holding invaluable pages of adventure, romance, history.

A soon-to-be adventure, escape, joy, unpredictable as a rollercoaster, many twists and turns as the story grows intense and calm like the rise and fall of the tide.

Many books, many portals.  Many pages, many escapes.

A book, a beautiful intertwinement of pages, a book, a telescope into a new perfect world.

Sunrise

As the sky fades from black to blue

and light erupts from the horizon, all creatures wake.

A dome of pink, purple, orange

The birds start to call and the children begin to laugh

The fun begins.

As the moon buries itself behind the mountains,

As the owl falls asleep, the quiet beings retreat to their

haven.

Dreams drift through the air catching onto sleeping birds,

bilbies and badgers.

The world shifts.

The Game of Life

Unlike my memories, this girl had far more than she knew she had.

I had a broken family and she had a loving one.

I never had enough and she had more than she thought.

He left and never came back but for her he never left in the first place.

I was too focused on myself to see the hurt of other people while her

Heart carved a place for everyone but herself.

Life had given me less reasons to live while her life would kiss her every

day and give her the luck she needed.

I saw everything I needed, I knew I was unlucky but for her she was

Blinded with love and kindness everything blurred her vision and she

Could only see the problems of other people.

I gave up but for her she kept on playing the cruel game of life with all

the luck in the world.

Until she won and she was finally able to see what happiness she

created but also the pain she did to herself,

Bit by bit giving away her love to even strangers like me
