Division Athletics 2019

This year we had an amazing 27 students representing our school at the Division athletics competition held on Friday 6th October. These students are recognised as the best at school and district level, covering more than 60 schools from division groups within our region. This is quite an achievement for them and they should all feel very proud.

Track events

1500 m- 11 year old boys- Charlie – 3rd (in 5.43 minutes)

80 m hurdles – 11 year old girls- Zara – 5th

100 m sprint – 11 year old boys – Alexander – 9th

200 m sprint- 9/10 year old boys- Pak Nin – 3rd - (34.76 sec)

200 m sprint- 11 year old girls- Natasha – 6th- (33.10 sec)

200 m sprint- 12 year old girls- Linnaea – 4th- (31.85 sec)

200 m sprint- 12 year old boys- Ryan – 3rd - (29.63 sec)

4x100m relays- 11 year old boys-Alexander, Will, Raphael & Zac - 9th (1:05:13 min)

4x100m relays- 11 year old girls- Natasha, Charlotte, Abbey & Zara - 3rd (1:02:26 min)

4x100m relays- 12 year old boys- Ryan, Ryder, Okitha & Jack- 7th (.59.65 min)

Long Jump- 9/10 year old boys – Will -4th (at 3.50 m)

Discus – 10 year old boys- Riley – 8th – (at 14.12 m)

Discus – 11 year old boys- Zac – 4th – (at 19.53 m)

Discus – 12 year old girls- Emma – 8th (at 13.88 m)

Discus –12 year old boys- Okitha – 3rd (at 22.71 m)

Regional Level Competition

Students who finish in the first 2 places at Division level, then represent our school at the next level of competition- called Regional.  Regional athletics competitions will be held on Thursday 17th October at the East Burwood Track.

This year we’ve had 2 students qualify for this higher level- Natasha & Ryan. Good luck!
