Reading for pleasure and gains
As we approach the holidays, students are encouraged to take home their library books so that they can maintain their wide-reading over the coming weeks. Reading can be a wonderful escape from the reality of everyday life, providing enjoyment and entertainment while enhancing an individual’s literacy. We have a wonderful selection of fiction and non-fiction to satisfy a wide variety of interests and reading abilities. Students can borrow four fiction and four non-fiction books at any one time.
All students from Years 7 to 9 should be recording any books they have read online on their My Reading account which can be accessed on the Resource Centre portal.

If students cannot recall their password, they can email mackm@nazareth.vic.edu.au or dougl@nazareth.vic.edu.au for a password reset. If there are any difficulties, students can record the books they read in the back of their diaries.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt
On Wednesday morning, visitors to the Resource Centre were treated with a surprise Easter Egg hunt. Judging by the smiles on many faces, this was a very well received initiative.

Looking Ahead
As Term 1 draws to a close, we wish all our students a safe and happy break. We have many regulars who greet us with a smile and a chat every day. We are very proud that our Resource Centre is a wonderful, safe and welcoming place and that so many students utilise this for study and for social interaction. We love working with our Nazareth College students and we look forward to seeing everyone in Term 2.
