Around The Primary

Dear Parents

It’s been a busy term and we have a lot to look back on and be proud of so far this year. Examples include:

House Swimming Carnival (Yrs 4-6)

Primary House Day (including Monster Cake Stall)

Year 5 Zoo Camps

Easter Reflections

Coins for Caritas Fundraising Project

IPSHA Swimming and IPSHA Basketball (Year 6) Carnivals

Assemblies (Year 5B and 2B)

Most importantly, the students have learnt so much over the past eleven weeks. Congratulations to all the staff for ensuring the students have stayed focussed and work hard right until the end of a long term. All families and staff now need to enjoy a well-earned break from school.

Last week Year 5G had a great time on their ‘Roar and Snore Camp’ at Perth Zoo.  A big thank you to Ms O’Connor for putting together this ‘zootastic’ video.

The Zoo camp was an amazing once in a life time experience for everyone.

Jackson Bosnich (5G)

It was awesome to see an elephant walking right in front of me and the baby giraffe eating juicy leaves.

Oliver Defrancesco (5G)

I think visiting the Zoo and feeding the giraffes as a surprise was one of the coolest things ever.

Callum De Andrade (5G)

At Perth Zoo we were able to feed the giraffes. We climbed up the tall staircase and put branches through the bars for them to take. The giraffes ate all our branches and licked most of our hands too - the giraffes were amazing!

Caitlin Seery (5G)

As we approach the holidays, I encourage all parents to spend some time discussing personal safety with your children. Please take the time to read this article about keeping children safe and then discuss the information with your children..

We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday 1 May. It is important to note that Monday 30 April is a pupil free day as staff will be participating in various professional development workshops.

Happy holidays!

Kind regards

Coins for Caritas

Thank you for participating in the Coins for Caritas project. The enthusiasm our school community has shown towards collecting coins each week, and filling jars for our pyramid, has been truly amazing. We are very proud of what we have achieved and cannot wait to count the coins. Early next term we will be able to reveal how many jars were collected and how much money we have raised for Caritas.
