FUTSAL

On Thursday the 6th of May, our Senior Girls Futsal team travelled to Monash University to compete in the AFA Futsal titles.

There only ended up being two other teams in our division so they played each team twice. They comfortably won both games against Killester College and their first game against Haileybury College.

However the second game against Haileybury, was not as successful losing the match 1-4. This still meant that we ended up second on the ladder to Haileybury and we would face them in the final. Captain Isabelle Pulitano managed to rally her team for the final, bringing out stellar efforts from all members of her team. Standout efforts came from Sienna Daniel, who shut down Haileybury’s best player, and Brooke Lee-Tet, who scored a hat-trick to seal the gold medal.

The team now has the chance to play in the National finals later this year in Queensland.

Congratulations and good luck for Queensland Girls!

VOLLEYBALL

Always lots of fun to be had at Gilson and Copperfield on volleyball. Both Senior and Intermediate boys and girls pooled in their best efforts on the day. A great portion of games were won but unfortunately, we were just a few wins shy of a finals placing. Thanks Mr Chan for your support.

SOCCER

The year 7 girls had some stiff competition playing Keilor Downs College, Copperfield, Springside West and Sunshine. Their first game begun as a loss however the next three matches were won, but regrettably Copperfield took the winners title that day with three wins and a draw. Better luck next time girls!

NETBALL

Our Senior and Intermediate Girls both had close calls during their tournaments. The Senior Girls won their group stage but sadly out Inter Girls just missed out on winning their tournament final. Thank you Miss Feist and Miss McInerney for coaching.

AFL

Much respect to our year 7 and  year  8 boys teams who had a flawless streak of wins at their Divisionals. The Senior and Inter boys gave their best also, but unfortunately came short. Thanks to Mr Karipoglou, Mr Page, Mr Hunter and Mr Gagovski for taking the teams.
