New School Captains!

Well done to Aylish Mitchell and Andre Tauteka for being voted in as our new LIHS school captains. Jacinta Bazzano and Raquel Withers will be our new vice captains. An excellent achievement for all! We look forward to seeing the many positive changes you will make around our school and community.

New Bridge in the Quiet Quad

Composed by Tori Henderson and Chae Conte

There is a new bridge in the Quiet Quad! Well done to our Year 10 and Year 11 Construction students who have installed a brick pathway from F-Block, leading into the Quiet Quad.

The new bridge is an important project. The path will reduce the number of students who walk through the garden/leaf litter in the Quiet Quad. Stepping on leaf litter disturbs the eco-system and can impact the wildlife living in our school.

Make sure you use the bridge and do not walk through the garden. To learn more about the bridge, watch our video below.

There is also a competition running to name the bridge in the Quiet Quad. Great prizes to be won! Submit your entry below.

Harbour Centre News

This was my first year at Lake’s Athletic Carnival. I enjoyed the day and my favourite event was the sack race. Hope you had fun at the carnival too!

Tuesdays are Harbour Centre Sport afternoons. Every 2nd week, we go out to a different venue. Last Tuesday we went to Killalea State Park and played team activities. We walked along the beach, played footy and frisbee and ‘forty four homes’. It was enjoyable playing spot outside of school. We got to interact with other Harbour Centre students.

Travelling with Trin

Location: Kings Point Retreat, Ulladulla

Kings Point Retreat is located at 300 Kings Point Drive and has many things to enjoy. There are two awesome slides and a big pool - perfect on a hot summer day.

Near the slides is the playground. The playground is huge, with lots of play equipment to climb on and you can even slide down a big orange slide.

This caravan park also has a spa and sauna. It's a great place to visit and relax for a long lovely holiday. I think this park is perfect for families seeking a terrific holiday.
