From the Careers Room

The Job Camp program held this term was a great opportunity for selected VCAL students to gain 5 qualifications to increase their skills for possible employment in the hospitality sector. We look forward to this activity being a regular event on the school calendar for our VCAL students.

VET Cert II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations)

This program is being offered to students in Year 11-12 VCAL students who are not enrolled in a VET program this year.

Dates: July 21- Sept 1 (Every Wednesday)

Times: 9.00am – 2.30pm

Cost: $100

Year 11 VCAL Structured Work Placement has been rescheduled for Term 3

Dates: Aug 30 – Sept 3

Students are to visit the Careers Room to discuss their options for placement.

Trade Training Centre Tours have been rescheduled for Term 3

RSA (Responsible Serving of Alcohol) is scheduled at Djerriwarrh Community & Education Services during the school holidays

Date: Wednesday, 7th July 2021

Time: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Location: 241 Station Road, Melton 

Fee: $70.00

Western Chances Scholarships are awarded to talented and motivated young people in Melbourne’s West.  The scholarship supports talent and motivation in nominated pathway – Academic Pathway OR Artistic Talent OR Leadership Talent. Applications will open Mid Term 3.

Eligibility Criteria – be aged 12 to 25 years and have a current Health Care Card / Pensioner Concession Card / CSEF / Others
