Congratulations Lucas!

Lucas Kennedy from 7C has won the inaugural The Design Files Kids Art Award, with Honan! (Years 11-13 section).

Entrants were asked to create an artwork in any medium, based on the theme ‘Australia’, to be judged by three amazing artists: Ken Done, Beci Orpin, and Reko Rennie!

Congratulations Lucas, this is an outstanding artwork, and very well deserved.

Year 8 Howard Arkley Inspired Paintings

The Year 8 students investigated the dynamic and vibrant work of Howard Arkley. He was heavily inspired by the variety of domestic, household architecture in Melbourne’s Suburbia.

Each student took photos of their house to develop into their own brilliantly coloured paintings.

Year 9 Food Technology

Over the last two weeks the Year 9 students in Food Technology have been working with the Design Process on making Focaccia Art. Using a brief with restrictions, they researched alternative designs and made food orders, production plans and criteria for evaluation questions that were to be answered on completion. Here are some pictures of the great results.
