Congratulations to Chloe Bowers for receiving a prestigious scholarship from the Department of Education Secretary Georgina Harrison.
On Monday 31st May, two school captains attended the Cumberland Council Student Leader’s Morning Tea. This afforded the students the opportunity to engage in a mock council debate with other school leaders about a proposed skate park in the area. Shanil was chosen as the MHS representative to debate the merits of the proposed skate park. This positive experience was met with a refreshed attitude towards the local council and the decisions it needs to make for the constituents of its area. Mayset and Shanil were luckily enough to meet the mayor and gain inside information on the roles and responsibilities of being part of local council.

A special thanks to the team at Heroes with Ability for giving our students such an exciting opportunity and the staff at Parramatta Eels for supporting this wonderful campaign.

Every Thursday afternoon, students attend the RAS Homework Centre to access support for literacy, homework and assessment tasks. The tutors have provided individual and small group support in a range of Key Learning Areas.
