Endeavour House News

The middle terms fly by in boarding as your girls are so busy with Winter sport and other commitments. We have many netballers, hockey players, soccer players all busily going off to their games and trainings. In Endeavour, we also have horse riders and debaters, musicians and dancers. No wonder the days zip past in a flurry of REACH leave requests.

We have survived and thrived through Interschool Cross Country, MSWA swim, Influenza vaccinations, the AFL Carnival, Twilight Concert and NAPLAN so far this term. Mr Colgate has been teaching the Year Seven girls woodwork on Wednesday after school, they seem to be enjoying this. The rest of the term will no doubt go by as quickly as the beginning of term as there are only four weeks to go. We also said goodbye to Ruby Rae this term, Ruby returned home to online learning and furthering her equestrian sporting achievements, she will be missed.

In May we celebrated the birthdays of Emmeline Cunningham, Bella Patterson and Madison Beeck. Happy birthday girls. Audrey Cherry is our only June birthday.

As part of the boarding curriculum we have been talking about 'above the line' and 'below the line' behaviour. Examples of 'above the line' behaviours are choosing kindness, saying hello, including someone, welcoming someone to sit with you at dinner and allowing someone to go in front of you in a line. 'Below the line' behaviours could be: being mean, turning your back on someone in a conversation and rolling your eyes. We have been discussing the impacts of 'below the line' behaviours on our peers and trying to ensure we are endeavouring to display more 'above the line' behaviours.

You will be invited to an afternoon tea on Friday 2 July at 2.00pm.  An invitation to Endeavour and Anchorage parents will be sent out closer to the event.

Please enjoy some photos of the girls from this term and I hope you have a lovely long weekend.
