Division Cross Country 

Nine Year 3-6 students headed off to Bundoora Park on Wednesday May 26 to represent the school at the Darebin Division Cross Country Carnival. Whilst the weather was fairly cold and grim this didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the students who were all very excited about this wonderful opportunity. Knowing that the first 12 runners progress to the next stage, all the students gave their best as the remaining members of the squad stood by and cheered their teammates home. In the end there were some outstanding results, with the highlight being both Alyssa Gozzo (12th in 10 Year Old Girls) and Keira Sarris (10th in 12/13 Girls) making it through to the Northern Region Carnival on June 23. 

Congratulations to Aidan Gauci, Marc Capetola, Rebecca Beninati, Keira Sarris, Dean Sciulli, Justin Rametta, Lily Matijas, Alyssa Gozzo and Aria Hatzilias for proudly representing the school on the day.

Preston District Athletics Carnival

The Preston District Athletics Carnival is being held in Term 3 at Coburg Athletics Track on Friday August 27. The athletics team will be announced later this week, with training for the various events to commence early in Term 3.

Inter School Sports

After an unfortunate end to the home and away season of Inter School sport with the cancellation of a number of rounds, there is some good news to report. We have two teams playing off in Grand Finals this Friday! Congratulations to the girl's and the boy's soccer teams on making it through to the district play off. The winners not only take the title of district champion, but also proceed to the division play off as well. Both matches will be held at Barling Reserve, kicking off at approximately 9.30am. Good luck to both teams and their respective coaches, Mrs Sbizzirri and Mr Allan.
