Year 3/4 News

Religion
In Religion this term, students have been reflecting on Scripture, global and local influences and personal experiences relating to Care for our Common Home. As part of our RE rotational activities this fortnight, students read through the six days of Creation and the Sabbath from Genesis 1. Each child was given a blank piece of paper and coloured pencils. As each part of the Earth was created, students drew how the Earth would look at each of the stages. Below are some of the student's interpretations.
Reconciliation Week
The theme for Reconciliation Week 2021 is 'More than a Word. Reconciliation takes Action.' This week the students have been learning about what reconciliation means to the First Nations people and about National Sorry Day. They are learning about the significance of that apology for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
At Home Maths Activity
To further support your child's understanding of Multiplication, we have included two activities you may like to try at home.

Multiplication Squares - Due to copyright, please follow the link to access the free 'Multiplication Squares' resource. A wonderful resource to practice revising times tables.
Homework - Spelling and Reading
To help students and families with homework tasks, we have made a video outlining what is expected for reading and spelling homework each week. With each newsletter, ideas for Maths games and activities will also be included.
