Extra-Curricular

Year 10 Excursion
The year 10 cohort have had a wonderful excursion to Coffs Harbour where they had surfing lessons, canopy tours on an overhead rope course, fun at a water park, bowling, laser tag, ice skating and much more!
Excursions are a valuable opportunity to experience outdoor learning, foster an increased sense of belonging and connection with peers and staff, engage in activities that lead to positive wellbeing and have fun!
Horse Sports
Our team of four attended the Glen Innes High School Horse Sports Day. James Walker, Tyler Sutton, Amber Lewis and Ebonie Lewis and were excellent ambassadors for our school, competing with great spirit and sports-person-ship.

Schools Spectacular
We had a strong group of students representing our school in the combined choir, the dancing and the Aboriginal dancing at Schools Spectacular last week.
An incredible experience indeed for all the students to participate in such a large event, intensely rehearsing with hundreds of students from all over the state for several days beforehand and honing their skills in the respective areas.
Steer Competition
11 students from year 7, 9 and 11 Ag travelled to Glen Innes with our steer 'Karl' to compete in the Regional Northern Schools Steer Competition. The students had an excellent 2 days competing in the junior judging, parading and led steer events. They also did particularly well in the farmers challenge in the evening event.
Felicity Bailey (year 7) paraded confidently in her first ever competition achieving a 5th place ribbon. Joshua McGregor (also year 7) achieved a 6th place ribbon in his first junior judging event. Well done to both students. Will Fittler, Cameron Anderson, Joshua McGregor , Alex Brady and Tom Frizell also paraded cattle for the very first time and performed extremely well.
It was a pleasure to take the students away for this opportunity. Many thanks to farm assistant Cortnie Smith Bell and Mrs Rebecca Smith.
Music Production
Our year 8 music production class had a fantastic opportunity visiting Beachwood Studios to experience a live studio in action.
