Wellbeing Update

It is difficult to know what to write this week in this wellbeing page of our newsletter… We want to recognise all of the lovely parents and carers that have extended their thanks to us for the ongoing education of our Rangeview students. It is so important that we all continue to work together to maintain some sense of normality in such difficult times.

The covid19 pandemic is at the forefront of all our minds. We have been using age appropriate resources to support the student’s understanding and to assist with managing concern and anxiety. Please find below two resources that support our understanding of the coronavirus. The first is presented by Dr Michael Carr-Gregg – Child and Adolescent Psychologist. The second is a webinar presented by Dr Pat Charles -  Head of Infectious Diseases at Austin Health.

We have included a list of support agencies for your information. It is our understanding that most of these will operate in the coming months as ‘essential services.’

Please take care of yourselves and your families over this period. Encourage your children to have Brain Breaks and be active. Look into mindfulness (Insight Timer is a great App) and consider family board games. Remember to focus on what you can control and not get weighed down by what you can’t.  We hope you all have a safe and restful holiday period and we look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
