5/6 NEWS!

What a whirlwind fortnight this has been!

Level 5 and 6 students have shown commendable adaptability and resilience as Rangeview made changes to regular programming in order to protect our community from the spread of coronavirus, and prepare for possible school closures. It has been wonderful to see students draw on character traits such as kindness, hope and self-control introduced during Start-up.

Students have spent plenty of time learning outside the classroom, using their Writer’s Notebooks, on gratitude scavenger hunts, or investigating perimeter and area.

Finally, a big thank you to all families who have worked with Rangeview to support students’ learning, and to keep children at home if they are feeling unwell. The Level 5/6 teachers used their planning day to prepare for the possibility of school closures in addition to planning for Term 2, and home learning packs have been readied if this becomes necessary. Until then, stay healthy, wash your hands, and keep finding reasons to smile! J
