Cross Country

On Thursday February 20th, students in Years 4, 5 and 6 (with a few select Year 3s) participated in the Greenvale Primary School Annual Cross Country.

On a gloomy summers day, our school spirit was still high as students competed against each other across six races covering 2000 and 3000 metre courses, trying to win maximum points for their house.

The first placed student from every race was announced as the Age Group Champion and students placing in the top ten earning their place in the Greenvale Cross Country team.

Congratulations to the following Age Group Champions:

10 Boys: Charlie

10 Girls: Victoria

11 Boys: Jake

11 Girls: Isabelle

12 Boys: Ridha

12 Girls: Azra

The the overall house standings, we finished with the following results:

4th: Gellibrand, (Green) 78 points

3rd: Cumberland, (Blue) 123 points

2nd: Woodlands, (Red) 124 points

1st: Oaklands, (Yellow) 153 points

Congratulations to Oaklands House for winning this year’s Cross Country.

Good luck to all members of the Cross Country Team as we go off to compete at District Cross Country in Term 2. Keep up the training and hard work!
