Disability Dance Workshop
Last week our school joined with Carenne Public School for the Disability Dance Workshop hosted by the department of Education D’Arts Unit. Students listened to instructors and showed their passion for dancing by actively and enthusiastically following all instructions and danced with a smile on their faces all day. Thank you to Chris and Gin our choreographers for the day.

Psychological support
Once again we are off to a busy start this term. We welcomed Clinical Psychologist, Teleri Moore to our team. Teleri will be working with us on Mondays and Tuesdays in classes to support our staff and students. Information and permission packs will be coming out to families of those students involved.

National Tree Planting day
Students enjoyed a little of the outdoors today. They planted trees around our school in an aim to improve the environment.
The OLC
Some exciting additions have started to arrive at the OLC campus this term. The ZONE is close to being completed, exercise equipment has been set up around the playground along with an outdoor table tennis set and trampoline. This is already making break times more enjoyable for students.

Local Government Week
Last week we acknowledged Local Government Week at the Primary Assembly. Councillor McRae presented PBL awards to students and two certificates to Ms Pritchard for the school, these were for donating to Give Me 5 For Kids and participating in the Harmony Day Poster Competition. Councillor McRae explained what local government does for us, including sewage service (ewww). Thank you to class 7 for doing a fantastic job running the assembly!
