Living Connections

The Living Connections elective have been investigating the different body systems. During this lesson we were taking a close clook at the respiratory system.

Students were fascinated when the lungs were inflated and the texture and colour of the tissue changed.

Advance

The Advance students making shelters with the knots they learned this week. The rain didn’t arrive but a bucket of water on the roof proved they’d done well!

The students enjoyed cooking pancakes on the trangia stove as a reward.

Website Design and 3D Printing Elective

Website design and 3-D printing is a brand new course for year 8-10 students at Edenhope College. Our enthusiastic and future technology focused students are currently building their websites on their own interest. Students are creating their website on photography, e-business and own hobbies. They made good, creative plans to design different website with different contents. They are getting ready to use the brand new 3-D printer for creating sample models and products.

VCAL Personal Development

The VCAL students have worked very hard this term and have done an amazing job. They have all worked extremely well as a team to design and construct a range of projects throughout the term. The VCAL students have installed stairs at the back of the college which include handrails and signage for the college. They are planning to continue to develop this area of the college.

They have designed and constructed a book return cabinet for the library so that the Primary students can return their books when the library is closed.

They have also repainted the footsteps around the college to assist our Primary students to find their way to their building.

Our VCAL students have assisted the office with designing and constructing a padlock cabinet so that we are able to keep track of the locks at the College. Finally, they have painted the bench seat to go outside the library for students to use.

I am very proud of the work that these students have done throughout the term. I am impressed of how well they all work and support each other when completing these projects. They show a lot of maturity and understanding towards each other.

I want to thank them for their work this term and the support that they have for the college.
