Multiculturalism has always been an integral part of Marian College since its inception in 1957.  This particular aspect of school life is well illustrated in the 1983 Marian Newsletter no.26 when in 1983 a Multi-Cultural Festival was held on Thursday 22nd September.  Visitors were encouraged to wear costumes representing a country of their choice.  It certainly sounded like a lot of fun and excitement for everyone who attended.
