Specialists' Spot 

Don't know what your kids are learning in specialist, here are some questions to ask: 

Music - Ask your child about the creative workers. 

PE - Ask your child to name two sports with fielders. 

       - Ask your child how to score a run in sports like t-ball, baseball and cricket. 

Indonesian - Ask your 4/5 children "what is the difference between pizza saya and saya pizza?"

Art - We have been discussing the purpose of art. 

Ask your kids "why is art important to you?" 

Enviro Science - In Enviro Science this term, we are exploring special places that hold meaning in our lives. At home, have conversations around these questions:

What are some special places for your family?

Why are they special?

What other places are around us that may be special to other families? Why are they special to other families?

What are some special places for the Wurundjeri people in Victoria?

With regards to plants and food, have a think about these questions as a family:

Before they end up at the shops, where do you think fruit and vegetables come from?

How long would it take for certain fruits and vegetables to grow?

What are some edible native plants that we have in Brunswick?
