Twilight Sports 2021
The Camelot Rise Annual Whole School Twilight Sports will be held at Capital Reserve on Wednesday 31st March 2021, 5:00pm-7:00pm. Please put the date in your diary. More information to follow.
Monash Waverley Division Swimming Carnival
Congratulations to all the students who attended the Monash Waverley Division Swimming Carnival last Tuesday. students performed really well against strong competition. Alannah (butterfly), Tao (butterfly) and Peter (breaststroke) will now compete at the Eastern Metropolitan Swimming Carnival at Boroondara Recreation Centre on Friday.
Level 5 Sovereign Hill Camp
Last Monday, the Level 5 students attended their first-ever school camp to Sovereign Hill. They experienced what school life was like back in the 1850s, along with seeing a fantastic sound and light show whilst learning about gold and its origins, foreign settlement in Ballarat and the gold rush itself. Panning for gold, seeing pure gold smelted and poured before your eyes, and shopping were other highlights experienced by the students.

“One thing I learnt whilst on camp was a lot of Australian facts about the gold rush and the Eureka flag. We also learnt to sew and to speak Irish.” – Keziah (5HA)
Level 4 Bike Education
As part of the Health and Physical Education curriculum, students in Level 4 participated in a five day Bike Ed course. Children had their bikes and helmets assessed to make sure they met safety requirements. They learnt about different road rules and signs to obey as well as different bike riding skills. To complete the week students rode to Jells Park. Thank you to staff and parents who accompanied the children, it was a fun.
Level 1/2 students Rickett's Point Excursion
Excited level 1/2 students headed to Rickett's Point Marine Sanctuary last Friday. Through hands-on exploration and personal observations, students learnt about the plants and animals that live in this protected place and how human use of these areas have changed over time and with the seasons. Students explored the beautiful Rickett's Point Marine Sanctuary with all of their senses.
Interschool Summer Sport
Level 6 Inter-School Summer Sport began on Friday 12th February. Over the term students will compete against other schools in the Waverley East District in T Ball, Basketball, Hot Shots Tennis, Volleystars, Kanga Cricket and Kickball.
