DIVISION SWIMMING RESULTS

Schools from the Wonthaggi and Foster areas joined the Woorayl District for the Division Swimming Sports held last Friday at the Korumburra Pool.

St Laurence’s had two swimmers who qualified for the Regional Stage to be held at Sale tomorrow, Thursday, 11th March. Congratulations to:

Lacey McRae (10 yrs) and 

Ned Sheahan (12/13 yrs) 

who finished second and third respectively in their backstroke events.  Good Luck Lacey and Ned.

Our other competitors all tried hard and we appreciate their efforts and are to be congratulated on getting to the Division Stage.

3-6 HOUSE ATHLETICS

The annual House Athletics are to be held on Thursday, 25th March (back-up day Friday 26th March) at the Leongatha Velodrome. This day requires a lot of parent helpers and we thank everyone who has put their name forward. Jobs would largely consist of manning the various events which would all be set up and straight forward to run. Teachers will accompany the different age groups as they rotate around the activities. 

You would need to be at the velodrome between 9.00 and 9.15am in order to be briefed regarding your role.  We will  team you up with another parent on the event and you would "stay with the event " throughout the day. The sports are to start at 9.30am and the rotations would conclude by 1.30pm.
