This award goes to Ava for her wonderful start at Scoresby Primary School. Ava is a superstar listener and she makes lots of good choices in the classroom. Ava, I am so proud to have you in my class this year. It makes me very happy to see your smiling face each day.

Tom is to be congratulated on showing the GEM value Empathy. He is a very kind student who always looks out for his friends. Congratulations Tom we are all very proud of you. You are a Scoresby Superstar!

Adalyn S. - 1/2D

Adalyn is receiving this award for showing such kindness and respect to each of her classmates this week. Adalyn has been taking the time to ensure that everyone is feeling happy in class, making sure no one is left out from an activity or game. She thinks carefully about how she can help others and will take the time to do so. This is something that everyone can learn from you Adalyn. Keep it up – you’re a star!

Tenzin W. - 1/2F

Tenzin is receiving this award for always showing his HEART values. During our science incursion this week he demonstrated respect and noticed when others needed assistance and automatically offered a helping hand. In the classroom, Tenzin consistently displays the value of excellence by striving to achieve his personal best in everything he does. Well done, Tenzin! Keep up the great work!

Burhan K. - 1/2K

For the fantastic counting strategies he demonstrated when creating our class number line. Burhan was able to explain how when counting backwards 11 spaces on our number line he could jump back 10 and then go 1 more. Thanks for sharing your great thinking Burhan.

Baileigh K. - 3/4C

The 3/4C award goes to Baileigh for demonstrating the Scoresby HEART value of ‘Excellence’. Baileigh has practised skip counting by 2’s, 3’s and 4’s and beginning from different starting numbers. She also explained patterns that she noticed while counting! Well done Baileigh, you have been working like a true mathematician!

Keely R. - 3/4E

Keely has consistently shown our GEM value of empathy towards her class mates. Each day she shows kindness by; encouraging her class mates in all they do, being their partner in line and asking new people to play with her. Keely is the first person to recognise others showing random acts of kindness, often filling in our ‘Caught Being Kind’ slips so her friends are appreciated for their kind acts. Well done Keely, we are so lucky to have you in 3/4E, keep being an amazing friend.

Milla W. - 3/4S

Milla is congratulated on being an excellent role model in the classroom. Milla displays her HEART and GEM values at all times and it is wonderful to hear her acknowledge those around her who are being kind to others. Milla, you are a GEM superstar.

Adam D. - 5/6B

Adam always shows enthusiasm towards all areas of his learning. He is an outstanding student in his PONT maths class, eagerly works on his writing and always completes tasks with a smile on his face. You are an absolute delight to have in the classroom. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year together.

Kaleb C. - 5/6M

This award goes to Kaleb for the confidence and the belief in himself he exhibited during the presentation by Martin from the Resilience Project. When invited to dance during the presentation, Kaleb was at first reluctant because none of his friends were dancing and then he could see how much fun it was and got up and danced with some very creative moves. Always believe in yourself Kaleb to do things that your peers may not want to do, especially if it’s going to be fun!!

Christine K. - 5/6W

For consistently demonstrating the Scoresby HEART values and Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness. This week, Christine has shown on multiple occasions that she is a kind, caring, compassionate friend who completes all set tasks to the best of her ability. Ari Z. - Performing Arts

Congratulations to Ari for his excellent participation in our Performing Arts lessons. Your timing when playing the bass notes on the xylophone is brilliant. Well done!

Cooper L. - Visual Arts

After viewing a Russian fable ‘The Tale of Two Frogs’, Foundation students used curved lines and shapes to draw a frog in a pond. Cooper did a wonderful job following each step to draw his frog and took care when colouring it in. Your frog looks so happy Cooper! A fantastic first effort in Visual Arts.

 Blake N. - Visual Arts

Students in 5/6 have been learning about aboriginal art, in particular ‘Rarrk’ art. Blake’s artistic talent, when drawing, shone during our recent Art lessons. He listened carefully and worked diligently to complete a sensational head of an elephant. Brilliant work Blake!
