Dear Families

I am sure I speak for all of us when I say it is great to have our children back at school today after this brief lockdown. As we had hoped, many, many smiling faces came through the school gates this morning leaving behind some very relieved parents. These situations are a big challenge for families and for the teaching staff at Trinity, and whilst we know from last year that things can quickly be put in place, it is certainly not how we want the school year to look. Thank you all again for your patience and flexibility through these past few days.

Term Overviews

In this week's newsletter, on our Student Learning Page, you will find links to each level's Term Overviews. You child's teacher has put together a summary of the learning that will take place this term in each of the main learning areas.

Parent Information Sessions

The parent information sessions taking place this evening will give our teachers an opportunity to share some of the main aspects of their learning programs this year. As has been communicated by email, these sessions will take place via ZOOM, (all links on next page), with Session 1 commencing at 6:00pm and at 6:45 for Session 2 (Which is a repeat of Session 1) for families with children in other year levels. Of course we apologize for families with children in more than two year levels but we will ensure you have all the information you need.

2022 Enrolments

A reminder again to all our current families. If you have a child who will be turning 5 before 1st May 2022 please let us know so that we can add them to our enrolment list for next year.

Congratulations to Ms Belinda Nechwatal

As you may be aware Ms Belinda has not returned to school this term and would now like to announce that she is pregnant and will be taking time off to have her baby. I am sure that I represent all of you in wishing her the very best at this exciting time. Ms Belinda does hope to return to Trinity some time in Term 4.

We have already begun the important process of finding an excellent replacement to teach Performing Arts & Music.

Safety at Pick up and Drop off

Thank you all for this mornings safe return to drop offs at Kent Street. As I said in last week's newsletter our children's safety is our main priority so please understand if asked by staff members to maintain safe practices at drop off and pick up times.

School Improvement

As you would all have been aware, last year Trinity Primary school underwent its four yearly school review. This process is conducted by an outside reviewer and involves a thorough review of all aspects of the schools management, learning and teaching programs and overall school community. I was very pleased to read the final report which highlights the great work being done by school leaders, staff, students and parents. Of course the review also provides opportunity for further growth and improvement. Creating a new four year plan for the school has already begun and will form a very important part of our work together in the first part of this year. This is an exciting time for us at Trinity as we strive to ensure that we maintain and improve our already excellent school.
