National Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week

Over the last few weeks, the Middles have been learning about Reconciliation in preparation for the students who are celebrating their Sacrament of Reconciliation this week. We have learnt about National Reconciliation Week and National Sorry Day and why these are so important in Australia. We have learnt about Indigenous Australians and all of the bad things that have happened to them in Australia’s history. 

 

Last week, the Middles taught the Prep and Junior classes about National Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week. We had to create a slideshow explaining these two events and then organise an activity for them to do. It was lots of fun!

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Good luck to all of the students celebrating The Sacrament of Reconciliation this Thursday.  Last Thursday, we had the faith formation night.  We learnt what will happen on the night and Father Dixon spoke to us.  We did an activity with our parents and now are all ready to go.
