MDHS Cross Country

2023 MDHS CROSS COUNTRY INFORMATION

The MDHS Cross Country (Kindy–Yr 10) will be held on Wednesday 7th June 2023 at the Mukinbudin Golf Club. Please retain this information form for your records.  

Start time: 

• Our first race will begin at 1:00pm sharp

Order of Events: 

1. Open Boys & Senior Boys- 2000m 
2. Open Girls & Senior Girls - 2000m
3. Intermediate Boys – 1500m 
4. Intermediate Girls – 1500m 
5. Junior Boys – 1000m 
6. Junior Girls –1000m 
7. Kindy Fun Run – 300m 

Transport arrangements & buses: 

• Students will be having an early lunch on the Wednesday and walking to the Golf Course at 12:30pm. 
• Students will be dismissed from the golf course. Please ensure someone is there to collect your child.  

Bus students will be collected from the golf course. 

Clothing & footwear:

• All competitors must wear suitable footwear. 
• Students to wear school sports uniform, hat and sunscreen and bring a full water bottle. 
• Please provide for any medical needs or conditions (e.g. asthma puffer). 

Supervision to be provided: 

• All Classroom Teachers

Staff action in case of accident or illness on the excursion: 

• Parents will be contacted by mobile phone and children transported to medical attention if required. 

Weather Conditions: 

• The Cross Country Carnival is an all-weather event and will not be cancelled due to rain. 
• Severe and dangerous conditions will see the carnival postponed to an alternative date.
