Year 6 Hummingbird Robotics 

Across Terms 1 & 2, the Year 6 students worked on a combined Digi Tech and Art project. In Art, the students chose a value then embossed this onto a piece of metal using linear patterns for texture. In Digi Tech, the students learnt how to program the Hummingbird robotics LED lights to create a light show to complement their artwork.

Below are a small selection of the videos completed. You can view your child's work in Office 365 in the Class Notebook - your child will be able to log in from home via the Go VPS webpage.

Soiree Concerts

At Vermont PS we called our music concerts the ‘Soiree’. This year we will be holding three concerts to in order to give all year levels the opportunity to perform solos and we will be spreading the performances of our various music groups across the different concert dates. Below is an outline of each concert, when it is scheduled and how we will be allocating the solo and group performances.

 

The Senior Soiree and Middle Soiree will be later this term on back-to-back nights (Wed 14th June & Thurs 15th June), whereas Junior Soiree will be next term. We have provided links to the forms for both the Senior and Middle Soiree below. Please fill these out before the cut off date of Thursday 8th June if you would like your child to perform. Notices and information for the Junior Soiree will be sent out next term. Solo acts are limited to one song per performer and a maximum of 5mins in length. Solo performers: only Yr5 and Yr6 students allowed to perform solos 

Groups to perform: (some of these groups will involve students outside of Yr5 and Yr6. They are welcome to attend and perform as part of the group)

  • Rock Band 
  • Senior Choir (Yr4-Yr6)
  • String Group

Groups to perform: (some of these groups will involve students outside of Foundation-Yr2. They are welcome to attend and perform as part of the group)

  • Junior Choir (Yr1-Yr3)
