Junior School

News from the Junior School

After such a busy first term, I hope all of our families had an opportunity to relax and refresh over the Easter break. The term finished with a fun morning of activities for our ELC 4, Foundation, Year 1, and Year 2 children with their special sporting carnival. There was a lot of concentration and coordination as the children balanced balls, tried running a three-legged race, jumped in sacks and many more fun events.

Term 2 began with our Year 5 and 6 students attending the Senior School Anzac Day Service where they heard some interesting stories from past student Lieutenant Captain Shannon Bowen.

The cross-country carnival had students from Years 2 to 6 training and running long distances around the school campus. Students were then selected to represent the school at the district cross country event where they did the school very proud with a number of notable performances.

The P&F generously hosted a special Mother’s Day breakfast. It was lovely to see so many of our mothers enjoying breakfast with their children and taking the opportunity to connect with others. Many thanks to our hard-working P&F for the delicious breakfast. The Junior School Student Council will be deciding what charity to donate the money raised to. A very happy Mother’s Day to all of our very special mothers this weekend.

*Reminder* - Friday 2 June is a Student Free Day for the whole school (ELC4 to Year 12)
