Middle School

What an exciting and busy start back to the term it has been. Students across the Middle School have settled in beautifully and we have welcomed many new students into our Oakleigh Grammar community - they have made a wonderful addition to our school.

To celebrate the end of last term, our final Pastoral Care session consisted of mix-aged games. This was an opportunity for our Middle School students to not only celebrate all their achievements and work throughout the term, but to also build connections with students across the school. Games were met with a lot of fun, laughter and a little dose of competition!

Year 6 students eagerly attended their camp to Camp Toolangi last week. Whilst it was cold and wet, our students were extremely resilient and persevered through the weather. Many of our students were met with challenges of new activities, conquering fears and being in a new environment. Their determination, willingness to step outside of their comfort zone and be a risk taker was admirable. Teamwork and encouragement of each other was at the forefront of their minds. Congratulations to all of our Year 6s, you should be so proud of yourselves!

We had some students across the Middle School represent Oakleigh Grammar during the NSE competition recently. Well done to those students for being a part of the team, your commitment and training for this event. Congratulations!

Further achievements have been made this term with the Year 6 students competing at the Bentleigh District Cross Country and Years 7 – 9 students representing at the EISM Division Athletics. I congratulate all students competing in their respective fields. This is a huge achievement and we are very proud of you!

It has been pleasing to see our students being well presented in their Winter uniforms. A reminder to please ensure all elements of the uniform are correct, including shoes and ties. Sports uniforms are only to be worn on sport days, and students must change in or out of their school uniform for their PE class days. Thank you for your support in ensuring your child is correctly attired and representing our school with honour.
