Marketing Update

Signage

We’re so pleased that our new branding continues to come to life with the installation of our new external signage. In particular, we were excited to see four smiling faces beaming at us from high up on Clapham Road.

Further signs will be installed in the coming weeks as we refresh our School with the new branding.

Exciting new video

We are extraordinarily proud of our passionate staff, and in this strong labour market, there is much competition for quality candidates. Since late last year, we have been working on an exciting project to attract potential employees.

In the spirit of walking the walk, once again, we put students front and centre. We put Years 3 to 5 students in the driving seat, having them interview staff members about their roles, about them as people, and about our School in a new video aimed at attracting passionate and dedicated employees.

A special thank you to the following staff members who agreed to the daunting task of appearing on camera and looking ‘natural’:

  • Mark Robertson
  • Shelley Parkes
  • Rebecca Bettiol
  • Paris Karambelas
  • Leigh Gridley
  • Michael Jones

And of course, a big thank you and well done to our students for their amazing job grilling  interviewing staff:

  • Cecilia Li
  • George Filis
  • Panagiotis Mavroidakos
  • Anthony Marinakis
  • Alexandra Hatzipanagiotou
  • Ava Stavrakis

We hope you enjoy the video. You can catch it on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and our YouTube Channel.

We encourage you to share our posts to build brand awareness and attract people looking for their next career step.

Uniform News

Our Second-Hand Uniform Shop is an amazing resource for Oakleigh Grammar families, and is run by an incredible bunch of parent volunteers dedicated to helping our students look their best and represent our School with pride.

We are always looking for parent helpers so if you can spare even just a couple of hours please get in touch at secondhandshop@oakleighgrammar.vic.edu.au – it’s a great way to meet other parents and connect with the broader community.

The Second-Hand Uniform shop:

  1. Offers second-hand school uniforms and bags at a discounted price (up to 40% off new price depending on quality and wear).
  2. Enables families to sell second-hand uniforms by consignment (sellers receive 50% of sale price with remainder donated to the School).
  3. Raises funds which directly benefit students.
  4. Promotes sustainability through reselling and reusing.

Uniform rollover

Please be aware that although our School branding has changed, this will not be reflected in the School uniform for some time. It will take up to four years to rollover as we run out current stock. We do not anticipate any major changes to the uniform, other than to change the logo. As always we will monitor feedback from students and parents.

Bags

We are aware that Dobsons is out of stock of Oakleigh Grammar school bags, library bags and excursion bags. We have been working on updating the branding and all bags are currently in production. They will be back in stock in a few weeks and we thank you for your patience.

Dobsons website

We have been working with Dobsons to improve the online purchasing experience. We are aware there has been some confusion on the website as it displays incorrect colours for our socks and pants/trousers. Dobsons are working to fix this issue along with loading speeds. Please be aware that you can choose the correct colours for pants/trousers and socks by selecting them from the drop-down menu.

Pants/trousers are grey for both boys and girls. Socks are grey for boys, and girls wearing optional pants/trousers should wear grey or black socks. Girls wearing a tunic or skirt, should wear grey tights or long white socks.

Oakleigh Grammar Business Network
