Curriculum Planning Week

This week, teachers have been given a full day out of the classroom to plan collaboratively with their Year Level team. This focus has been on the curriculum for Term Three. The main Inquiry topic this term is "Geography," which teachers will be planning in line with the concept of "Adventure."

Teachers follow a  rigorous planning process where they use the Victorian Curriculum along with considering needs of individual students to produce targeted, differentiated lessons.

Inquiry lessons will run alongside Religious Education lessons, which are taken from the Religious Education Framework and the Pedagogy of Encounter. This enables students to make the connection between faith and life.

The Pedagogy of Encounter encourages teachers to engage in religiously motivated dialogue by exploring religious content or issues through a process of inquiry, knowledge gathering and deconstruction and reconstruction, as well as a search for personal meaning.

All the teachers and staff are looking forward to an "Adventure of Learning," with their students in Term Three!
