Around the music department this week…

I would officially like to welcome Meg Doherty to our music department as another vocal tutor. Let’s get to know a little more about Meg:

Now residing in Victoria’s South Gippsland, award-winning multi-instrumentalist, Meg Doherty has brought her instrumental holistic style teachings to Mary MacKillop College in 2023. Industry strong & armed with over 30 years of experience in everything instrumental, Meg has toured nationally, won multiple songwriting awards & gained a reputation for being hard-working and a strong dependable leader in the Australian Music Industry. From Country to Folk to Blues, her knowledge of music is strong, and her leadership skills surrounding musicality are even stronger. Meg opened up “Meg Doherty Music School” in 2015, and has never looked back. She has released over 5 independent albums & worked with some of the industry’s finest including Bob Spencer (The Angels/The Skyhooks), Ben Franz (The Waifs) and many, many more. She looks forward to bringing & sharing everything she knows to her new musical family at Mary MacKillop!
