BLACK RANGES SENIOR NETBALL
Thursday the 18th May we took two Senior Girls netball teams to Stawell under the guidance of Ms Bywaters to compete in the Black Range Competition.
The competition was split into two pools Horsham College A the Year 12 team in pool A and Horsham College B our Year 11 team in Pool B.
Both teams had an amazing day on the court winning all their round robin matches against schools from Ararat, Stawell, Horsham and Murtoa, this then set up an all-Horsham College Final.
The game was played with so much enjoyment well done to all students who attended the day, you displayed all our school values and congratulations to Horsham College A on winning the final.
The team now progresses to the Greater Western Region Titles in Ballarat on Tuesday 6th June.
BLACK RANGES INTERMEDIATE NETBALL
Last Friday the 26th May, four teams of intermediate netballers headed down to Central Park in Horsham to compete in the Black Ranges competition.

All the players had an amazing day on the court, playing with great enjoyment and displaying good sportsmanship.

On Friday the 26th May, two teams of intermediate footballers headed down to Coughlin Park in Horsham to compete in the Black Ranges competition.
GAME RESULTS:
HC Yellow 68 defeated HC Blue 12
HC Blue 6 lost to Marian 29
HC Yellow 52 defeated Holy Trinity 0
HC Blue 12 defeated St Brigids 9
HC Yellow 46 defeated Marian 0
HC Blue 14 lost to Holy Trinity 17
HC Yellow 76 defeated St Brigids 0
Both teams had a great day on the field. HC Yellow was declared the overall winner on the day and will progress through to the Greater Western competition to be held later this term.
BLACK RANGES SENIOR BOYS AFL
On Thursday the 19th of may our senior football team headed down the highway to Stawell to compete in the Black Range Senior boys football carnival .
The team, Coached By Mr Hose, Lined up against schools from Ararat , Horsham and Stawell.
It was Great to see all games played in the right Spirit with good Sportsmanship on display from all teams.
In a fantastic display of team football, we came away with comfortable wins against all three opponents, earning to right to progress through to the Greater Western Region Titles.
The Titles will be held in Ballarat on Tuesday June 6th.
BLACK RANGES ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
Horsham College students attended the Black Range Athletics Carnival in Stawell on Monday 22nd May with great success.
Congratulations to all 57 students who represented Horsham College we had some amazing results:
Individually we had 27 students place 1st, 20 2nd and 17 came 3rd in their events.
The day concluded with the 100m relay events and congratulations to the Under 14, 15 and 17 Boy teams on winning your relay.
Students who were successful in winning will now progress to the next level Greater Western Region which will be held in Ballarat on Thursday 5th October.
GREATER WESTERN INTERMEDIATE GIRLS FOOTBALL
GREATER WESTERN INTERMEDIATE GIRLS FOOTBALL | On Tuesday 23rd May, our intermediate girls football team travelled to Warrnambool to compete in the Greater Western Intermediate Girls Football Championships.
The girls played hard in cold conditions and came away with two wins in the round robin competition! All girls displayed tremendous team work in all games, encouraging one another and displaying our school values of care, character and commitment.
MATCH RESULTS:
🏉 First Game - Horsham College lost to Monivae College 13 to 2 points
🏉 Second Game - Horsham College lost to Emmanuel Warrnambool 40 to 9 points
🏉 Third Game - Horsham College defeated Trinity College 22 to 0 points
🏉 Fourth Game - Horsham College defeated Ballarat High School 19 to 6 points
Overall the girls placed second on the day, beating Ballarat High School in the last decider game.
GREATER WESTERN REGION CROSS COUNTRY
The Greater Western Region Cross Country was held Monday 29th May in Warrnambool with 19 Horsham College Students representing our school.
All students need to be congratulated on their efforts in cool and showery conditions.

Both teams had a great day on the field. HC Yellow was declared the overall winner on the day defeating Marian College in the final 61 to 0. This team will progress through to the Greater Western competition to be held later this term.
