Unit 1 Exams

All students undertaking a Unit 1 subject will sit exams next week.  These exams will run from Monday 5th to Wednesday 7th June.  A detailed timetable can be found on Compass, and a hardcopy was given to the students on Tuesday.

Students had the following exam protocols outlined today in Advisory:

  • Students must arrive at the exam room (portables) 15 minutes prior to the start of their exams.
  • They may not leave the exam room until the end of the session.
  • Students must not communicate with each other inside the exam room.
  • Stationery must only be carried in a transparent container.
  • Water may be brought into the exam room in a clear container, without any writing on it.  No other food or drinks may be consumed.
  • Mobile phones must remain off and either left in the locker or handed in at the start of the exam.
  • Students must remain at school on site from 9.00am – 3.15pm, even if they do not have an exam.  They will utilise any spare blocks to study.
  • Year 10 students will attend classes as normal throughout the week, other than when they need to attend an exam.
  • Students are expected to wear school uniform throughout the exam period.

Students competing in the cross country may sit a supplementary exam on Thursday, for any exams missed on Tuesday.

These exams are compulsory for all students studying a Unit 1 subject.  Unavoidable absences must be communicated as soon as practicable, with appropriate documentation, so that alternative arrangements can be made.
