If there is one word that we should never tire of repeating, it is this: dialogue. We are called to promote a culture of dialogue by every possible means and thus to rebuild the fabric of society.’

Sacramental Mass this Sunday 28th May

The weekend is almost here and we have some very excited children. Our parish Sacramental Mass is this Sunday, May 28th at 11.30 am ~ Pentecost Sunday. Our School community with then congratulate our candidates at Assembly on Monday, May 29th.

We have continued to pray for our Sacramental Candidates as they continue preparations towards receiving the sacraments of First Eucharist & Confirmation.  Each pastoral group has a candidate they are especially praying for. With prayer cards on their prayer spaces as a beautiful reminder each day. Each pastoral group will congratulate our candidates with a special card of congratulations this Monday at assembly.

Pentecost Sunday

Pentecost took place 50 days after Jesus rose from the dead. Pentecost ends our Easter season. The story in Acts 2:1-42 tells how the early followers of Christ came together on Pentecost. Today, Pentecost Sunday is the celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit.

This event marks the beginning of the Church. In honor of this joyous occasion, it is popular tradition to wear red to Mass, to signify the presence of the Holy Spirit in our community and our unity in Christ. Our students have been learning about the story & meaning of Pentecost in their learning suites.
