C'est la vie!

What an unusual year we are having. I hope that this newsletter finds you all well. As we enter remote learning for a second period this year the staff have all been very focussed on ensuring that all our students' learning is maintained.

With this in mind, we are having Google Meets live lessons for our core subjects of reading, writing and maths, with small focus groups through Google Meets also.  The teachers have maintained the uniform daily outlines to communicate with families mostly sent home through the Google Classroom. Learning Support Officers are maintaining their support both onsite for the students attending school and through Google Meets for those students that are offsite. Literacy Intervention has also continued both during our last round of remote learning and now again. This is done either onsite with the students that are attending and through Google Meets for students offsite that are in these programs.

Thank you to all families for picking up the new resource packs prepared by staff last week. In these packs are the resources that staff have planned for. Please only use the resources as indicated in the lessons.

Book Week this year has been changed from this term to Term 4, 19 October to 23 October. I have been purchasing all the shortlisted books and there are some fantastic books that we can't wait to share with the children. Hopefully we will be able to have a great week celebrating and having fun in Term 4!

Keep safe and well and I look forward to a time when we can all be at school again.

Regards,

Larissa
