Indonesian Day

On Friday the 19th of August, our students were treated to a full day of Indonesian activities to celebrate Indonesian Independence Day. We had Aaron and Nita Hall from Baguskan to teach our junior students the fine art of traditional Indonesian dancing while our senior students explored gamelan, traditional Indonesian music. During the day, students also took part in other popular Independence Day activities including balloon games, cracker eating competitions, coke bottle squats and batik colouring in. A clear highlight was the students chance to ride becaks, a unique Indonesian style of transportation. A huge thank you to Miss Hasni and Bu Condely for their help coordinating this day.
