R U OK? Day

On Thursday 9th September St James celebrated R U OK? Day.  Staff completed a number of activities to help students in being able to ask others R U OK? In four steps and how to respond if someone says they are not.  Students and staff were also given a yellow ribbon by the Student Wellbeing Leaders to wear for the day to remind them of the importance of asking R U OK?

SRC Leaders

A big thank-you to our fabulous SRC leaders who have been meeting each fortnight to discuss agenda items.  This term our SRC leaders have made decisions in the following areas:

  • WOW awards schedule
  • Balls going over the fences
  • House Points winners reward
  • School Expectations review

I have been very impressed with the way that all SRC leaders have contributed to each of the meetings and the respect that they show to each other's opinions and ideas during our meetings. I look forward to continuing our work in Term 4.

House Points Challenge Term 3

Our house points challenge continues to be a very popular way for our students to win points for their house in various ways. Including:

  • Showing respect to their teacher and class mates
  • Thinking of and caring for others
  • Being inclusive and showing compassion
  • Completing great work
  • Helping without being asked

And many, many more.

This term congratulations goes to Conquest-Gold House. The conquest house students this week will be enjoying extra free time!
