Book Week Assembly

We are excited that our book week dress-up day assembly is finally here and will take place this Friday 26 August at 9 am. All Toorak PS students are invited to dress as their favourite literary character and show their costumes off at our parade. A gold coin donation would be appreciated to support the Story Dogs Program. Parents – please take note of the earlier time for our assembly of 9 am. This is deliberate to ensure that Book Week costumes are looking at their best. We would love to see lots of parents/carers joining in the fun on Friday!

Story Dogs Program

What is the Story Dogs program?  Well, you might have seen some dogs walking around the school with special orange jackets. They are our story dogs Poppy and Hope. They come to school to provide a calm, stress-free environment for selected students to help them become more confident readers.

We have had Story Dogs at our school for several years now and they have helped many of our students. It costs $500 per dog to get them ready to be a story dog so we are hoping to raise money for them through collecting gold coin donations on our Book Week Dress Up day. Thank you from the JSC.
