Bayside Indoor Rock Climbing

By Ms Gibson - Outdoor Education Teacher

This term in Outdoor Education, the students have been learning about and applying teamwork skills in practical activities within the classroom. On 27 July, the students were able to put their teamwork skills into action outside of school at Bayside Rock Climbing Centre. The students worked together to keep each other safe, by belaying* each other whilst their peers climbed various rock climbing walls and provided each other advice whilst climbing and were very encouraging of each other. All students challenged themselves, which was excellent to see and it was great to see smiles on all of their faces, as they were so proud of themselves. The students were very respectful of the venue staff and of each other, which they are commended for.
