DET Parent/Carer Opinion Survey

The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. We encourage all families to participate in this survey. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies. This year, all families are invited to participate in the survey at LPPS.

The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be conducted from Monday15th August to Friday 16th September. Details have been shared via Compass.

The survey is online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

Survey results will be communicated to parents/caregivers/guardians through annual reporting and the newsletter when results become available.

A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to participate in the parent opinion survey.

Contact details

A quick reminder to parents and carers that we need families to update mobile phone numbers in preparation for the bushfire season. If your circumstances have changed since last year, address, mobile phone number, can you please advise the office. It is very important especially through the Bushfire season to know and have an accurate record of who is onsite should we need to evacuate. It is an occupational health and safety issue that we must adhere to at all times.

Attendance & Absences

it is very important to record attendance and absences on Compass, as Compass is our platform for information of what is happening at school. Schools are required to work towards improving attendance and punctuality rates of our students. We encourage all parents to call the office when your child is going to be away and to notify the school through Compass.

Another term has come and gone. The term holidays are with us again! I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy, safe and restful school holiday period. Please take time to enjoy the company of family and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 3rd October.
