Market Manoeuvers

On Wednesday the 31st of August all of the year 5s had an incursion called Market Manoeuvres which was an amazing experience. We learnt about economics and business, such as needs, wants, supply and demand. John and I really loved learning about supply and demand through the use of Lego to construct houses then selling them to make a profit. 

Overall all grade 5s enjoyed this fantastic opportunity to be with Market Manoeuvrers and thank them for giving us this wonderful experience.

Market Manoeuvers

On Wednesday the 31st of August, the year fives had an excellent incursion based on their inquiry topic “Needs and Wants”. One part of the lesson we played a game similar to musical chairs to learn about supply and demand.

The grade fives split into 3 different teams and each team had a consumer and seller. All teams made houses out of Lego and sold them to make a profit. The objective of the game was to make the most profit. This game taught us how to make good financial decisions and to consider consumer supply and demand. 

Chris and I really enjoyed the incursion and thought it was a fun and exciting experience.
