Year 3/4 Camp

Team Bright Sparks
In Team Bright Sparks, we all collaborated and communicated in different activities during our whole time at camp. On the Monster Mud Course, some of us got too cold & quit after the first lap, but some people stayed and did the last lap & Bright Sparks improved our time & won!
All the people in our team loved Tash’s Ladder the most. It was super high to climb up & you had to be very brave. Our favourite food was the waffles & ice-cream cups. We also made a cool ‘Bright Sparks’ flag & a team chant! Mrs Gara also did an awesome job walking on the nails with the rest of us!

The Rock Wall
Bright Sparks! Bright Sparks! was our team name, with the team teacher Mrs Gara.
Our first group rotation was the Rock Wall. I went on the rock wall and it was 35 meters high! I started with the tyre side. Then I moved up to the red blocks. As I was making it to the top I started to lose energy. I had my feet on about the fourth red block when I rang the bell. While I was getting down I almost banged my head on the wall!
Was it fun? Yes!

Team Brainiac's
My camp group was the Brainiac's. With me was Roland, Ezra, Mya, Kalo, Ella-Ivy, Emma, Ava, Elizabeth, Lani, Lukas, Jake and Tanish.
My favourite part was when we got to hold the Carpet Python. His name was Mitch. He was 20 years old. I liked the feeling of the snake and he even licked me! It felt so weird. Overall, I loved camp, but a real challenge was how we did the Mud Monster course twice!

Sandri’s Stars!
When we went on the bus, everyone was chatting and I was talking to my friends. It took 2hrs to get The Summit. When we arrived, we had to take random peoples’ bags to the top of the hill.
When we got to our cabins, we had to choose our bunks and then we had to set up our bunk beds. When we first entered our cabins, we thought our room was on the 2nd floor, but my floor was in the kitchen downstairs.
After that we had to go to a white building, called The Lodge, where we would have dinner, breakfast, and lunch.
When we first had the activities, we named our team, Sandri😆Stars.
The first activity we did was a noodle game. Then we did an initiative game where we had these marshmallow pads that we had to place down and step on to cross the Chocolate River.

Tash’s Ladder!
I was climbing the ladder to the top. Anthony was waiting for me, then we were going right to the top! Anthony was going first. At first, he was scared of heights, but he is really smart and brave now after trying his best.
Anthony took two steps and then six steps. It was amazing! Then it was my turn. I took twelve steps without being scared!! It was SOOO much fun!

Whizz Kids
Before camp, we had to prepare everything we needed to take! Then we got to school and got on the bus for a 2-hour drive. Once we got to camp, we needed to unpack and then we started our activities. The monster course was hard but a little bit fun. The fun part was when I was looking for letters on a tree in the Orienteering course. I also liked the part when we got to stay in our cabins, and when we had a disco in the Lodge. Some of the things I found challenging was climbing to the top on the rock wall and climbing to the top of Tash’s ladder and having to let go with both hands and balance on one foot. Something that I will always remember about camp is spending all day and night with my friends. I had a great time at camp!
