A message from our Principal

Dear Parents

The weather has been sensational this week and teachers and children have taken the opportunity to take some of our learning outdoors. Spring in Bathurst is a gorgeous time of year.

Today, at 6am, representatives from our school from Year 4 and 5 were involved in activities with Australia Post at the Bathurst Fossil and Mineral Museum. This was also broadcast on the Today morning show. This was to promote stamp collecting month, which is in September. This year, the dinosaur is the feature on the stamps. It was such a wonderful morning. The children were excellent ambassadors of our school and participated in everything with enthusiasm and passion. The Today show crew engaged with our children and made the experience a memorable one. Thank you all for your participation. Thank you Mr Datt, Mrs Cafe and Mrs Francis for joining me early this morning. These opportunities are wonderful for the children at Bathurst PS to be involved in.

Congratulations to all of our students who attended the District Athletics Carnival on August 25th. We had some wonderful individual and relay results. After a super successful day we were named the Bathurst District Champion School! A team of 20 students will attend the Western Region Carnival in Dubbo on Friday 16th September. Good luck to all of our participants. The children competing are; Hannah Skein, Milla Cole, Sophie Francis, Max Naylor, Charlie Higgins, Tim Lynch, Jackson Fischbeck, Lilly Guihot, Ruby Cole, Archer Kolkman, Xavier Pawsey, Ryan Copeland, Max Clements, Tom Hamer, Beau Francis, Harvey Glasgow, Issac Gafa, Max Higgins, Grace Ronan and Lara Glasgow.
