September News

The end of another term is coming up quickly.  It's nice to have some warmer weather coming also.

We've had a wonderful term with lots to celebrate and look back on; from camps to a disco!

As we look forward to our last term of the year - it becomes busy in the lead up to Christmas and the end of the year.  As always, we start our planning for the new year and you can help with our planning by completing this survey monkey.

Athletics Champion

Congratulations to Josh who will be competing at the Track and Field State Titles held early next term! Josh made the Met West team for discus- what a huge achievement. We wish him all the best!

Speed Soccer

This year our annual speed soccer carnival will be held on Thursday the 15th of September. Students will represent their houses as they enjoy a day of fun soccer games! Whilst there are age awards for the winning age-group team, this is not a selection trial for anything, but rather the emphasis is on participation and developing self-umpiring skills in a cooperative and supportive environment. Students are to wear their house sports shirts on the day. More information will be shared soon! 

Principal Lunch Club

At the end of each year we celebrate outstanding students who demonstrate school expectations and are outstanding member of the school.  Over the years we have gone to Maccas for lunch, made our own pizzas and headed to Ipswich for the movies.  We are still planning our 2022 celebration this year, but I wanted to let everyone know how I select the students that get to attend this event.  

• We take students that have lots of bees - usually those close to or over 1000.  
• Students that have had minimal behaviour incidents or have shown outstanding improvement through out the year.  
• Students that have been nominated for Prinicipal awards throughout the year by their teachers.  
• Staff can also make recommendations for students to be considered if they are not eligible for another category.

Glenore Grove Playgroup

Playgroup at the Grove has started with lots of cuties coming along to play!

Student Resource Scheme

The final instalment of payment for books and instrumental is now due.  Please ensure you've paid this by Thursday - 15th September.  Preferred method of payment is QKR! or BPoint.  Please contact the office if you need any other information.

Paperless

Please update your details and regularly check your emails as we transition to a paperless office.  See ClassDojo for information from Lauren about this.

Swimming

Swimming start next term for students in Prep to Yr 2 on the 10th October to 28th November on Mondays.  More information will be coming home about this next week to parents.
