VCAL Year 12 Community Project Presentations
During week 6 the Delahey staff along with members from some of our community partners had the opportunity to share in the Senior VCAL students success. Each group had the opportunity to present their project outcome and what it took for the group to be successful in their project. All students should be proud of what they have achieved and been able to give back to our community partners.
GAT Preparation Sessions
The Campus Leaders have been running GAT preparation sessions for all Year 12 students this Year. The sessions have given students the opportunity to see what the exam will look like and given practice questions, expectations, information and explanations as to the importance of the GAT is so important this Year especially VCAL students as this is the first Year they will need to complete section A to receive and Literacy and Numeracy competency mark on their final certificate. The GAT will be held this Wednesday 7 Sep.
Wear it Purple Day
Friday August 26 the Delahey campus celebrated Wear it Purple Day by asking all students and staff to wear something Purple or rainbow. Both staff and students came out in droves in their colours. Students held a cup cake (Purple One’s) and lemonade stall to raise money for the Rainbow Railroad Organisation. We extended the first break as the sun was shining, students performing musical items and students and staff were celebrating this great event together.
Year 11 & 12 Family, Student, Teacher Interviews
On Monday 29th August the Delahey campus held its Parent, teacher interview night. It was a fairly good turnout and a positive experience for both students and parents that attended the day. Delahey leadership will seek feedback for 2023 PTI timing to support an increase of attendance.
Senior VCAL Pathways Presentations During week 8 Senior VCAL students and their teachers participated in the Pathways Presentations, all students that presented should be extremely proud of what they presented and wish them all the best with reaching their goal, teachers were extremely proud of what the students were able to prepare and present.
