Community Events Team - Emily Meyer & Liz O'neill

Thank you to everyone that came to the Plant & Produce market on Friday 2nd September. A special thanks to everyone who baked, created, and donated things to sell, and those that generously helped to set up, sell and pack up (Anne, Kirsty, Sally, Emma, Elsa, Ashley).

A fabulous $1,026 was raised.

Term 4 events:

  • Monday 17th October an open CET meeting at school 7:30pm – come, hear, and contribute to the 2023 plans (free drinks and nibbles!)
  • Friday 21st October Plant & Produce Market (Halloween theme)
  • Saturday 26th November State Election Sausage Sizzle and Cake Stall
  • Thursday 1st December Art Attak
  • Friday 9th  December Plant & Produce Market (Christmas theme)

Keep your eye out for opportunities to donate and volunteer. These small, yet important events really contribute so much more than just a financial benefit to our school – they are a great way to feel connected and you always leave feeling joyful.

CET Co-Chairs Vacancy

As Co-Chairs for the past 3 years, it is also time for us, Emily and Liz, to step away from the role. It has been a pleasure to do our best to help our wonderful school community navigate the past 3 years and continue to feel connected to BNW. We are incredibly grateful to Anne, Linda, Tamsin, and Tanya who always showed up, supported, encouraged, and motivated us. A huge thanks also to our families and especially our children who allowed us to be fairly distracted at each event. A massive thanks also to Ange, Audrie, Mayii, and Danni who took on all of our requests and questions without hesitation! We also greatly appreciate the support and time that Hannah and Keir, the staff, and the School Council provided us.

We have such a special school and community – thank you to everyone that filled out a Google Doc, donated, baked, marshalled, sizzled a sausage, came along to, danced at, and brought the BNW spirit to each event.

Please think about joining the 2023 CET team. You truly gain so much in return and we know that our children benefit when we are engaged with their school.

Come to the meeting on October 17th or email CET@brunswicknwps.vic.edu.au if you have any questions or are keen to join.

It is such a great way to give back with like-minded people.

“Cheer o Cheer for BNW!”
