On Monday 24th August  all Year 5/6‘s went on camp to Coonawarra Lakeside Resort and we did lots of fun activities; such as canoeing, giant swing, rock climbing, flying fox, orienteering and raft making. We stayed there for three days and two nights we all had so much fun. Thanks to the teachers who came and looked after us and participated in the activities with us!

BOOK WEEK & BOOK WEEK PARADE

On the 26th of August we had our Book Week Parade. Everyone came dressed up as a character from their favourite book. Even the teachers took part in dressing up as characters from the Mr Men and Little Miss books. It was really fun to see everyone put so much effort into their costumes.

Pip- I dressed up as Luna because I like the book.

Harvey-  I dressed up as the fox from Bad Guys because it's my favourite book.

Billie- I dressed up as Super Women because she can fly.

Hudson- I dressed up as Captain America because he had a shield.

NEWS FROM MRS SULLIVAN

MACSSIS SURVEY

You will have received via email,  the MACSSIS survey. This survey is put out to staff, students from Year 4-6 and parents. For parents, it is a voluntary survey, but as a leader of our school I would appreciate as many parents completing the survey as it gives us feedback as to what we are doing well and what we need to work on. As with all things school, it is an evolving space and we need to continue to improve to give our students, staff and families the best opportunities we can.

NAPLAN

Our NAPLAN Student Reports arrived today. They will be sent home to parents in a sealed envelope today.  Please make sure you keep your child's Naplan results in a safe place as you will need it for enrolment at secondary schools.  St Brigid's do not retain a copy of these reports.

SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING

Our next School Advisory Council meeting is next Wednesday 7th September at 7.00pm. We will have Karyn, our MACS Business Manager at this meeting to present the Fee Structure for 2023 and then we will present our School Review Report and a snapshot of the NAPLAN results. All welcome, please advise the office if you would like to attend.

SUMMER UNIFORM

Term 4 is fast approaching.  It's time to dust off that summer uniform and make sure it is still in good condition and most importantly that it fits!! Our Uniform Shop will be open this coming Monday 5 September from 2:45pm to 3:30pm.  We encourage you to order online.  Orders are printed at 9:00am each Monday morning for the preceding week.  They are filled by our team on a Monday/Tuesday and are sent home with your child.

A reminder too, that hats are compulsory for Term 4.

END OF TERM

I cannot believe we only have 8 days left of Term 3!  Where has the time gone! Just a reminder that students finish on Wednesday 14th September at 3.15pm.

Wishing all our Dads and Grandpas a very Happy Father's Day on Sunday.  Have a lovely weekend and Go Pies!

Yours in partnership
