Junior Band

The junior band has started rehearsals on Wednesdays after school. Having had three rehearsals, the ensemble is beginning to sound like a ‘proper concert band’. They already have a number of charts under their belt including ‘Jaws’, ‘Hot Cross Buns’ and ‘We Will Rock You’. The Audience at next terms Autumn Concert is certainly in for a treat.

Junior Viola Players

This year two of our year 7 students, Peyton and Jarni, have taken up the viola. The viola is a bit bigger than a violin and the sound is deeper. They also use an alto clef when they read music.  The music department, especially Ms Orr, is very excited to have viola players and so far, it looks like the students like it.
